We will depart Maun mid morning and head north to Nguma Lagoon. We reach our campsite set under the towering Mangostein trees in time for a late lunch. Afternoon at leisure before relaxing around the campfire for sundowners and dinner.
A 45 minute motor boat ride transfers us through a maze of channels to the open floodplains of the Mokoro Island area. Here you meet the polers of the mokoros (dugout canoes), and spend the day in the tranquil waters of the Okavango, moving along papyrus-fringed channels with your poler. A game walk and picnic lunch is included during the day. Return to our campsite for dinner.
We will depart Makwena on a day excursion to the Tsodillo Hills where hundreds of bushman paintings can be seen. We will depart further towards Shakawe to arrive at our campsite at Drotsky's. The Okavango River is at its widest in this area. A walk down to the river from the campsite offers the opportunity of bird watching. An abundance of bird life nest in the high papyrus fringing the river?s edge and we look out for the shy Sitatunga, the antelope who live here, and feed off the papyrus.
Spend a leisurely, relaxed day along the Okavango River. Enjoy a morning's boating excursion on the Okavango River. Sundowners back at our camp around the campfire before dinner is served.
Today we cross the border into Namibia at Mohembo and spend some time in Mahango National Park before continuing to Divundu. Refuel with enough time for a possible visit to Popa Falls (rapids). Lunch served en route to Kongola. We arrive at Susuwe National Park in the early afternoon, where we spend two nights exploring the area along the Kwando river.
We make an early start and travel via Katima Mulilo to Kasane to clear customs at the border before spending the rest of the day enjoying the magnificent Victoria Falls and surroundings.
You will have the opportunity to enjoy a number of optional excursions after breakfast.

- A full day or a half-day's canoeing and walking trails on the upper Zambezi.

Once again I was able to travel through the Kalahari in the old fashion style: by mobile safari.
Even after more than 40 safaris with Penduka Safaris, I am still hooked !
Who other than Penduka Safaris is able to take you to places far away from civilisation where you can experience the real African bush and keep coming up with new itineraries, they really are true pioneers.
What's your idea of a perfect holiday? Sleeping in a luxurious bed with crisp bed linen after taking a bath in a designer bath?
Well - forget about it when you go on a Penduka Safari, but believe me you won't regret it and you won't miss it!
Instead experience nature at its best with people at their best!!
Thank you Thank you Thank you
It was a privilege to be back on safari with Penduka once again.
After many years I was able to be back in Botswana, and its sacred treasures again, with Penduka , in whom I have the utmost faith.
30 years ago Penduka introduced me to what I still perceive as the essence of the relationship between man and nature. My gratitude for this connection is boundless.

Simply speaking, it was fantastic!
I think one of the best experiences during my whole stay in Africa for more than 15 Years!
Willems personality is very charismatic and he is absolutely devoted to what he is doing. I will recommend Penduka as much as I can.
What a fantastic safari!
Kaiser was a great guide, we still don't know how he spotted the game he did, but day after day we were spoilt with sightings.
We came out as a family with young children and Kaiser was wonderful with them, taking the time and trouble to engage and connect them with the bush and all its sights, sounds and smells.

An unforgettable experience!
The organisation involved and physical hard work that goes into a pulling off a safari of this calibre was eyeopening, and yet it was all done seamlessly and with a smile.
